A private credit portfolio lender, Debt Reserve Capital aims to reimagine private debt financing. In an increasingly crowded landscape, our customized origination and asset management platform seeks to meet the needs of investors and sponsors with excellence in execution, long-term value creation, accountability, integrity, and transparency. Led by experienced  professionals, our direct origination platform is founded on deep sponsor and broker relationships, conservative investment strategies, a disciplined and rigorous underwriting process, and skilled asset management.

When only bespoke financial solutions will meet the need, Debt Reserve Capital’s specialized expertise aims to unlock opportunities and provide results. We provide customized asset and liability solutions by investing in credit-related debt opportunities, including senior commercial mortgages, construction debt, credit tenant loans, ground lease, and digital infrastructure financing.

Corey Williams

Founding Partner / CEO


Corey is responsible for the strategic direction and overall day-to-day management of the firm. With over a decade of experience, Corey has held several investment management roles with some of the world’s leading investment management firms, including Principal Financial, MetLife, Blackstone, and Guggenheim Partners. He has participated in over $9 billion in commercial debt transactions.

Margot Latham

Founding Partner / Head of Asset & Portfolio Management


Margot heads the firm’s asset and portfolio management strategy. Over the course of her 30-year private debt lending career, she has created and overseen numerous lending and portfolio strategies, standards, and processes. Margot was recently a managing director and the Head of Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management at Guggenheim Partners, and has held positions at Countrywide Bank (now Bank of America) and GE Capital. She is certified in ESG investing by the CFA Institute.

Spencer Tyson

Partner / Chief Financial Officer (CFO)


Spencer oversees the firm’s financial planning, budgeting, risk management, and cash flow management. Over the last decade, Spencer has held posts at some of the largest investment management firms, including PIMCO, Guggenheim Partners, and Revere, where he was Head of Investment Ratings. Spencer is the Board Chair of Leap Year, a nonprofit dedicated to early-age literacy and college preparedness in minority communities, and also serves on the operations committee of the Investment Diversity Advisory Council (IDAC).

Roger W. Ferguson Jr.


Roger was the Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve from 1999 to 2006, following his tenure on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. He also served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of TIAA, the Head of Financial Services at Swiss Re, and the Chairman of Swiss Re America Holding Corporation. After beginning his career as an attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell, Roger joined McKinsey & Co, where he was named a partner.

Napoleon Overton


Napoleon has taught at the University of Memphis for the last 24 years. Before that, he served as an equity securities analyst at Raymond James Morgan Keegan for more than two decades, specializing in lodging and real estate investment trusts (REITs). Napoleon’s research spans poultry processing, casino entertainment, furniture manufacturing and retailing, fabric, supermarket and drug store retailing, and manufactured housing. Napoleon is a chartered financial analyst.

Joel Redmon


Joel has over 35 years of experience in debt and equity real estate investments. He served as a managing director and portfolio manager at MetLife, where he was named the San Francisco Regional Director of Real Estate. While at MetLife, Joel also held several leadership positions within the company’s financial management group. Currently, Joel is the Senior Pastor at Church of the Valley.

William “Billy” Orgel


Billy is the founder and CEO of Tower Ventures, which owns over 600 cell phone towers throughout the United States. Under his leadership, Tower Ventures has become one of the largest companies in the industry, selling hundreds of towers and leasing space in more than 30 states. He also heads Tower Ventures REIT, which purchases easements and land beneath existing tower sites. Billy serves on the Le Bonheur Foundation Board and the Executive Board of the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis.
